As a profitable and rapidly growing business backed by tier one venture capital investors, we are seeking to scale our high performing team.

As a UX Writer you will own the entire UX writing process end-to-end for our product, ensuring that all copy is customer-focused, legally compliant and meets the highest standards. This includes evaluating our current copy across our interface and notifications, maintaining and re-establishing standards, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders, the product team, and designers. Additionally, you will have a strong focus on the legal and regulatory implications of the copy to ensure compliance and clarity.

In this role, your responsibilities would include:

  • Evolve and maintain the product copy process, including drafting, getting feedback, and obtaining legal review.
  • Become proficient in the secondaries trading domain to understand terminology and translate to copy.
  • Collaborate with designers, PMs, and business teams to understand current processes, business needs, and domain knowledge.
  • Develop a UX copy strategy for both back office and marketplace products.
  • Maintain and update the content style guide, and help refine the product tone and voice and create consistency across the product
  • Create targeted and impactful product content for various application touchpoints such as notifications, emails, guiding material, and more.
  • Assist in research efforts that help evolve the product and copy direction.
  • Help with additional product-related content as needed.

Required Experience:

  • Strong skills in creating targeted, impactful product content for various touchpoints, including notifications, emails, guiding material, and more.
  • User-centered UX writing, always focused on the end user and their needs.
  • Proficient in using Figma and other design tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, tone, and consistency in writing.
  • Systems thinker, able to consider cross-platform impacts and implications of changes.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and tasks in a time-sensitive manner.
  • Excellent collaborator, able to work effectively with product team members and stakeholders to craft, review, and iterate copy.
  • Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with financial or legal subject matter is ideal; otherwise, capable of quickly learning and ramping up on complex topics.

Compensation, benefits & perks:

  • Highly competitive salary plus commission commensurate with experience and contribution.
  • Opportunity to participate in ownership of a rapidly growing early-stage startup through our employee stock option plan.
  • Comprehensive 100% employer-paid health and dental premiums, and a health spending account.
  • Preference to those willing to work in our Vancouver, BC HQ, with a first-class view of the mountains. Open to Canadian-based remote candidates.
  • An engaging social calendar, including bi-weekly catered lunches, bi-weekly “Friday bar”, team workouts, annual summer party and holiday party, two “onsite” all-team retreats each year, semi-annual team-building events, and Hiive Womens’ Network events.
  • Significant opportunities for growth into team leadership and management roles.
  • Entrepreneurial culture, and a small and dynamic team.
  • Sponsorship, immigration and relocation for exceptional candidates.

Hiive is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where all individuals have an opportunity
