Overview

We are looking for a web development intern with a focus on UX/UI design to join our team. You will be assisting in updating/redesigning our company website. You will work closely with a committee to gather requirements/specifications, research solutions, and carry out designing, coding, and testing new features as well as updating existing features. The ideal candidate should be passionate about creating beautiful and functional user interfaces, with a strong understanding of web development principles.

Responsibilities -

• Assist in the design and development of user interfaces, ensuring a great user experience.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
• Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design concepts.
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure the application works well on different devices.
• Write clean and well-documented code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Django template language/Jinja2.
• Create and maintain documentation.

Requirements

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python
• Knowledge of web design principles and best practices, including responsive design and accessibility.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn rapidly, strong research skills.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with front-end frameworks like Bootstrap
• Familiarity with versioning tools, like Git
• Familiarity with REST APIs

Benefits

This position is subject to the Service Contract Act (“SCA”) and your pay and benefits comply with the

Area-Wide Wage Determination (“AWD”) applicable to the contract. This position will pay no less than

the amount included in the AWD for the corresponding labor category. Additionally, this position will be

eligible to receive the Health and Welfare Benefit included in the AWD, less the cost of certain benefits,

including retirement.
