AndiSites is hiring a North-Carolina-based web graphic designer to join our friendly team of experts. If you love designing (and even building!) responsive, accessible websites and have the portfolio to prove it, we'd like to hear from you. **At this time we are focusing solely on applicants in or close to North Carolina. Although the work is remote, we do meet face-to-face regularly, making proximity important.**

We’re a full-service WordPress web design and development agency based in Chapel Hill, NC. We partner with our clients to create, support, and maintain effective mobile-friendly websites, providing kindness, peace of mind, and stellar customer service so we can all enjoy the process. AndiSites has been shaping the web since 2008 with an excellent reputation (most of our business comes from referrals), a prestigious client list, and constant new business from all over the country.

We believe strongly in a remote working environment that facilitates the lifestyle you want, while giving you the work challenges that keep your life exciting and fulfilling. If you'd like to set your own working hours, we're open to that. If you want to learn something new, we’ll support and enable it. At AndiSites you’ll find a welcoming place to work, extraordinary colleagues, and clients who love you. Ultimately we’ll give as much to you as you give to us, and although our compensation is competitive, we know that a job is about more than just money.

What We Offer

  • Flexible work week and hours commitment, with full-time at 30 hours/week available for applicants with additional web-related skills (development, content, SEO, analytics, etc.)
  • Work from home, or anywhere you have a reliable Internet connection.
  • Flexible schedule for family events (recitals, dr. appointments, kid stuff).
  • Paid time off for vacations, voting, and holidays-including your birthday. (NOTE: Paid vacation time is determined based on your desired work structure-contractor, hourly, or salary.)
  • Contribution to health insurance and wellness costs.
  • At-least-annual performance-based bonuses.
  • Company-paid continuing education.
  • Opportunity to work with a small, passionate, and devoted team who will welcome you, partner with you, keep you motivated, make you laugh, and help you succeed.
  • Starting salary $25-$40/hour depending on experience, skills, and portfolio

What You’ll Do

  • Design beautiful, contemporary mobile-friendly websites that meet or exceed client goals and user needs.
  • Present discovery research and design process deliverables to clients via Zoom.
  • Revise and iterate designs in collaboration with clients and our internal team.
  • Ensure proper usage and application of client-provided style and brand guides.
  • Collaborate with AndiSites team members and clients throughout a project’s process.

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge of website design best practices, a varied portfolio of past work, and a thirst for keeping up with trends and technologies.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of best practices and trends in mobile-responsiveness, UX, UI, and accessibility.
  • A personality that is kind, patient, and trustworthy, with a good sense of humor and strength on both sides of your brain.
  • The ability to work independently (self-directed as well as specific assignments) and alongside a team.
  • Comfort with collaboration-including the ability to comfortably adapt to last-minute changes and shifts in direction-without the need for hand-holding.
  • Shared values with AndiSites: strong work ethic, passion for creating, customer focus, integrity, and family.

Bonus Points For...

  • Strong graphic design skills in online and offline media.
  • Experience in brand creation (logos, typography, palettes, messaging, etc.).
  • Experience designing and creating WordPress websites using popular theme frameworks, custom themes, and page builders (e.g., Gutenberg, Elementor Pro, Divi, Astra).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of WordPress best practices, plugins, and core software features and functions.
  • Digital agency experience.
