Do you hate bad websites?
We have a bad website [*hangs head sheepishly*]. And we want to make it better. A LOT better. But we can’t do it ourselves. We need help. We need your help.
Our goal is to make a website that compels new potential clients to contact us. To make it so good they just need to do it. And, we want existing clients to engage with us further by taking actions like signing up for our newsletter or regularly visiting our upcoming blog. We believe a sharp eye for detail, a love of good design, creativity, and a strong understanding of translating user behaviour into website optimization are some key capabilities that make a great website designer.
What you’ll be doing:
- Be part of our team - Work with our management team to understand our customer needs and business objectives. We know our business, you know web design.
- Be patient enough to work through crazy ideas until we get it right - Design and prototype awesome user interfaces, create wireframes, mockups, and user flows to effectively communicate design concepts and ideas. We want customers to have an amazing experience and it might not happen on the first try.
- Be hard-working and curious - Do research on users, test to validate design decisions, identify areas for improvement, and ensure design implementation matches the intended user experience. In short, be ruthless about getting to the truth of what users want, in the timelines we have and then put it into action.
Requirements to apply:
- Be a current student enrolled in a program related to website design, website development, and/or UX/UI design
- Your portfolio showcasing your experience in UX/UI design for websites
- Choose 1 website that you absolutely love (but did not create) and provide us your analysis of why you love it using any mediums you like - screenshots, record a video, word document, carved stone tablets…whatever.
- A list of the design tools and website languages you know and group them by those you feel you have an expert or intermediate skill level in.
