Internship Duration and Schedule:
This is a remote, unpaid internship opportunity. The internship duration is flexible, with a minimum commitment of 13 weeks or 10 hours per week, based on mutual agreement. We are open to accommodating different schedules and availability.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Design Intern at Poppyseed, you will play a vital role in creating visually engaging and user-friendly interfaces for our mobile and web app. You will work closely with the two co-founders to ensure a seamless user experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the design team to create wireframes, UI mockups, and prototypes on Figma
- Assisting in the development and refinement of visual design elements, such as icons, graphics, and layouts
- Conducting user research and usability testing to gather insights and optimize design decisions
- Contributing to the creation of design guidelines and maintaining a consistent brand identity
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement design changes and improvements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, UX/UI Design, or a related field
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, XD) or Sketch
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles and best practices
- Basic knowledge of mobile app design and responsive design principles
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to translate concepts into visually appealing designs
- Self-motivated with good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate in a remote work environment
