As an Intern Product Designer at Wanderapp, you will become a key player in shaping the user experience and the visual aesthetics of our AI-enabled travel application. Working closely with our product management and development teams, you will contribute towards creating user-centric, engaging, and delightful interfaces that enhance our customers' travel journeys.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in cross-functional team collaborations to understand product specifications, user needs, and business objectives.
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for new features and improvements, prioritizing an intuitive user experience.
- Carry out user research and gather feedback to inform design decisions, iterating based on insights gathered.
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of design systems, style guides, and UI components, ensuring consistency and scalability across all user touchpoints.
- Work closely with developers to ensure designs are accurately implemented and provide support during the development process.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, industry standards, and emerging technologies relevant to the travel and user experience domains.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a similar field.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Experience in conducting user research, usability testing, and incorporating feedback into design iterations.
- Familiarity with responsive design principles and ability to create designs that work seamlessly across various devices and platforms.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A passion for travel and an eye for visual aesthetics in the context of a travel application will be advantageous.
