The Visual Communications Intern will be responsible for supporting the Internal Communications and Workplace Giving & Matching Gifts teams within the Marketing and Communications (MAC) Business Unit by developing and improving the visual look, feel, and consistency of materials related to internal and external communications.The Visual Communications Intern will also play a key role in providing new perspectives and insights on existing communications. They will support the teams’ work by auditing existing content to help update and expand materials. The Intern will report into the Internal Communications & Employee Engagement Specialist and Program Manager of Workplace Giving & Matching Gifts.Responsibilities & Scope

• Design and build toolkits and resource guides to raise awareness with internal stakeholders.
• Develop a visual look and feel, in line with TNC brand guidelines, for key internal communications and internal-facing materials. May include but not limited to: logos and other visual materials related to our internal all-staff gathering and other employee engagement programs; one or more PowerPoint templates for presentations; visual materials related to our project management framework, tools, and templates.
• Design and build guides geared toward external audiences, including Trustees, Corporate Partners and Donor Ambassadors.
• Assist in the redesign of relevant content on nature.org, to include researching industry. standards, collection of key data points and coordinating webpage redesign process.
• Build digital library of paid ads that will connect with performance dashboards.
• Work with members of the Brand Team to develop other visual communications as needed.

Do you have a keen eye for visual design and a flair for creativity? Are you inquisitive and passionate about research, writing and exploring new things? If so, we have a great opportunity in the Marketing and Communication (MAC) Division.We are looking for a Visual Communications Intern to fill a paid 10-week Summer internship. The intern can be an undergraduate student, graduate student, or recent graduate (between 2023 and 2024). This position is home-based in the United States. It will provide a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between academics and real-world work. We offer an orientation, professional networking opportunities, and real-world work experience.Minimum Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• HS Diploma or equivalent. Currently enrolled in an undergraduate (or graduate) program of communications, marketing, or related field, or a recent graduate (between 2021 and 2023) with a degree in one of these or a related field.
• Experience in research, writing, and editing.
• Access to a reliable internet connection.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Creative and graphic design skills, with a high proficiency level of PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and/or SharePoint.
• Ability to work with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of/interest in internal and external communications.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Close attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Coursework and/or experience in graphic design and/or visual communications.
• Self-starter, who takes initiative and demonstrates confidence to ask questions and seek input.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software, with the ability to construct and produce reports.

SALARY INFORMATION

The pay for a candidate selected for this position is $17/hr. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate’s actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges.
