Job Summary

The UX/UI Web Designer is responsible for executing the SaaSberry design lab services that is based on an innovative UX design process. Customers that they will interact with come from a wide variety of domain and have ideas that leverages web-based technologies. You will be responsible for bringing their ideas to life through the SaaSberry design lab process.


The UX/UI Web Designer must be self-directed to drive the design lab process from inception to conclusion. They will use clear and concise communication in both spoken and written to lead customers to success. Their strong work ethic will allow them to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment that is core to SaaSberry values.


Job Duties

- Running the design lab using UX design process methodology. The scope spans through:

  • Discovery
  • Ideation
  • Rapid Prototyping
  • Testing & validation
  • Presentation
  • Documentation

- Overall application web design, prototyping, and prototype testing & validation ensuring consistency to design system as well usability.

- Prototype testing responsibilities include conducting user research and usability testing to ensure all designs meet user and client requirements as signed off by client.

- Documentation of:

  • initial requirements
  • final specifications for

- client sign-off

- knowledge transfer to development/engineering team.

  • Research of:
  • competitor analysis
  • domain specific design considerations

- Presentation:

  • create professional presentation material and content
  • present with business analyst to client

- Communication with:

  • clients
  • business analyst
  • internal team
  • external vendors

Primary Qualifications/Competencies

- Design Expertise - expert understanding of user experience design fundamentals, such as rules of typography, web design, and data visualization techniques.

- Design Process - experience with UX design process, methodologies, and prototyping.

- Project Management - Agile methodology.

- Communication Skills - strong oral and written English.

- Work Habits and Productivity – able to maximize time to produce timely, high-quality results with both internal and external information.

- Software Skill Requirements:

  • Figma

- Prototyping

- Wireframing

- High-fidelity design

  • PhotoShop
  • PowerPoint
  • LucidCharts
  • WordPress
  • Office 365
  • Software Optional Skills:

- Adobe InDesign

- Video production (Adobe Premiere experience preferred)


Working Relationships

  • This role reports directly to the CTO.
  • Develop cross functional relationships with the engineering team, product team, and external vendors.

Education

User Experience (UX) design degree, diploma, or certification.

Related design, agency, or software development experiences.
