UX/UI Web Design Internship

Your responsibilities

At tkMNA, we provide a foundation to foster and support a safe, professional, and fulfilling experience. This internship is designed to provide on-the-job training and experience for college students. Our interns engage in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity to enable them to gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform at a professional level.

Our interns provide support to professional employees working in an organizational function related to the intern's area of study. Being a part of our UX/UI Web Design, this individual would help design and curate a best-in-class eCommerce customer experience through improved designs, features, and functionalities that will take the customer on an online journey that is second to none.

Key Accountabilities:

• Learns organizational processes and procedures.
• Contributes to assigned projects and may assist with the development and maintenance of documentation or records.
• Works in team environment, communicating as required with all personnel.
• Assembles information in a timely and efficient manner.
• Must have the ability to think critically, multi-task, and keep up in a fast-paced environment is critical.
• Responds to telephone calls and emails.
• Collaborates with staff and departments in preparing special projects.

Your profile

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• Current Junior or Senior in College/University or recently graduated (within 1-year) from an accredited university or college.
• Located within Northwood, OH facility
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Applicants should be competitive, assertive, and self-motivated
• Preferred degree in graphic design, interaction design, human-computer interaction, or a related field. Candidates with equivalent experience or self-taught skills may also be considered.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating your design skills and projects. Your portfolio should showcase your ability to create user-centered designs, your understanding of design principles, and your proficiency with relevant design tools and software.
• Technical skills preferred, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Figma, InVision, or other similar software. Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript may also be beneficial.
• Understanding and applying user-centered design principles is crucial.
• Ability to analyze user data, conduct competitive analysis, and provide design solutions that align with business goals and user needs.
• Adaptable and willing to learn new tools, technologies, and design trends.
• Project planning skills.
• Ability to understand and follow complex, detailed technical instructions.

This is a onsite, part-time (appx 20 hours per week) internship opportunity with one of our fastest growing divisions! This UX/UI Internship will last 6 months (extension possible).

Our Interns will partake in various activities throughout their term to enhance their experience and present an awesome presentation at the end of the internship experience to our executive team and managers!

Salary

$17.00 - $18.00/hour based on UX/UI developer skillset
