What To Expect
As a UX/UI Intern at Tractor Supply Co., you will have the chance to immerse yourself in the world of user experience and user interface design. You will partner closely with our Petsense technology team to improve the UX/UI experience around our Grooming and SPA applications. You will work to design, test, and improve our digital interface, making a meaningful impact on the Grooming experience for our customers and Groomers across our 200-store retail chain. Familiarity with React JS will benefit our efforts around application development. Backend API and Webhook connectivity are a plus, as you can work on projects involving this technology.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with the Project team around the UX/UI experience to create user-centered design solutions.
- Assist in the design of responsive and visually appealing web and mobile interfaces.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to gather insights for design improvements.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups.
- Work on projects involving React JS and contribute to the development of interactive web applications.
- Participate in design critiques and offer constructive feedback to improve designs.
- Interface with key business and vendor stakeholders to understand and define project-based requirements.
- Gain real-world user feedback from Groomers and customers during in-store visits.
What We Look For
- Enrolled in a degree program related to UX, UI, web design, or a related field.
- Strong design skills with a passion for creating intuitive and visually pleasing user interfaces.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with React JS is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges.
Duration and Compensation
- Summer internship program for the duration of 10-12 weeks in the summer of 2024.
