UX/UI Internship - Summer 2024

Responsibilities

The UX/UI Internship is one discipline of IDEMIA North America’s 12-week Summer Internship Program. The UX/UI intern is an integral part of the product development team and assists with various projects while creating solutions that meet customer needs relating to interface design, research and usability testing. The intern will assist in designing and implementing fully functioning interfaces with required documentation that meets specification requirements.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Translate user requirements into intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather valuable insights
• Create wireframes, mockups and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts for web and mobile applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and business objectives
• Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing results
• Maintain design documentation, including design specifications, style guides and design assets
• Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

• Enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Graphic Design, User Experience, or a related field with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI design projects and proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma or similar
• Understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Demonstrated ability to learn relevant technologies
• Robust communication (written and verbal), collaboration, and problem-solving skills
• Drive and eagerness to learn

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in previous UX/UI or design internships and/or projects
• Passion for innovative technologies and security/identity related issues

End Date: Aug 9, 2024

Note: This is a hybrid role, you must be able to travel to the office.
