About the Opportunity

We are looking to fill a UX/UI Developer Co-op role on our UX Team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our UX designers to transform conceptual ideas and wireframes into interactive prototypes. You will play a crucial role in refining and enhancing user experiences, validating design decisions, and ensuring the usability of our digital products.

This role will have an emphasis on developing ux prototypes but you will also gain experience though user interviews, usability testing, and analytics implementation.

As part of the UX Team, you will work closely with the Product and Engineering teams within a creative and technical environment.

As a UX/UI Developer Co-op, you will

  • Create user interfaces for web and mobile applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a design system that promotes consistency and efficiency across projects.
  • Work closely with other application developers to ensure the feasibility and fidelity of the implemented designs.
  • Create tooling to help analyze customer data to enable better UX decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with the UX team to run studies of designs and features.

You Come Ready With

  • Experience with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • A portfolio showcasing your prototyping, UI design, and front-end development work.
  • Proficiency in UI design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to execute UI designs accurately.
  • Excellent teamwork & communication skills to effectively collaborate with a multi-functional and multi-disciplined team.
  • You are observant, empathetic, and aren’t afraid to ask the right questions at the right time.
  • You are a self-starter. You take leadership and see projects through to completion with high attention to detail.
  • You are constantly pursuing excellence and always looking to grow and learn new things.
  • You are an equally great communicator whether you are in person or online.
  • You must be eligible to work in Canada.
