The successful candidate in this role will be assisting with the process of creating user flows, user journeys, mock ups, user personas, etc. In addition to managing user research, feedback and testing in collaboration with other team members and departments. This individual will leverage their knowledge of numerous technologies to optimize current site functionality.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, efficient and enjoys collaborating with a team, in addition to bringing their own, creative ideas to the table. The individual in this role will be responsible for executing the projects mentioned above as well as ensuring they move forward in a timely manner.
Must Haves:
- Demonstrated user experience and user interface design experience
- A portfolio of past projects (please send this along with your resume)
- A thorough understanding of UX research, testing and ideation methodologies
- Extensive experience Figma, design systems, auto-layout, responsive design
- Thrives in a collaborative team oriented environment
- Ability to be flexible and work effectively within the dynamic startup environment
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Great communication skills
Background you have:
- Pursuing a degree or diploma in User Interface, User Experience Design, Interaction Design, Product Design or similar from an accredited post-secondary institution
- Could also be pursuing a degree or diploma in psychology, cognitive theory or similar from an accredited post-secondary institution
Bonus Experience:
- Some work experience in user experience design (co-op, part-time, contract, etc)
- Some visual / interface design skills
- Data visualization tools or platforms (Tableau, PowerBI, Databricks)
- Experience working with web-based applications and “front-end” libraries like React.js
