Job description

HireArt is helping the world's largest social network find a UX Researcher (VR) to partner directly with a highly specialized team focused on building compelling VR products and experiences. In this role, you'll work collaboratively contributing and communicating your research insights.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and previous experience working on software technologies. We're looking for a qualitative UX researcher with industry experience.

As a UX Researcher (VR), you'll:

  • Partner with researchers across the organization to run evaluative research on 2D/VR features and experiences.
  • Plan/lead research studies end-to-end, with a strong command of iterative/evaluative research methods (i.e. usability testing, concept testing, contextual inquiries, focus groups, heuristic evaluations, etc.).
  • Work with other researchers, designers, engineers and product managers in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
  • Clearly communicate your research insights for teams to translate research findings for product/business impact.
  • Contribute to the development of a data-driven understanding of users and prospective users.
  • Support the VR Engagement and Growth teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interactions, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Information Science, Market Research, or a related field
  • Previous software user research experience
  • Prior industry experience working on software technologies
  • Proven experience conducting mixed-method research (it can either be industry-only or a combination of industry experience and academic research)
  • Passion and excitement about UX research
  • Must be comfortable working with people who are remote
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, problem-solving, collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with autonomy and decision making to balance demands


Commitment:This is a full-time, 6-month contract position staffed via HireArt. This position will be available to candidates who are local to the Los Angeles, CA area.
