The Role

This is a contract role and will require roughly 25-30 hours per month for approximately 3-6 months.

At Conversion, we work to eliminate the guesswork in decision-making. We are leaders in mixed methods experimentation, delivering results for clients like Sport Chek, HP, The Motley Fool, and Heifer International. We’re looking for an independent, self-driven, highly intuitive, and customer-obsessed User Experience Researcher (UX Researcher) to join our UX research team. As a UX Researcher, you will work with our Experimentation team to generate and analyze qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights for our clients. You will apply your extensive experience in running research studies to explore the behavioral psychology and usability of digital and omnichannel experiences.

What You Have

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications, but we're looking for the right candidate so don't be shy if you don't check every box!

  • 3+ years of post-secondary education
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience working in a research setting, ideally with experience designing, conducting and analyzing qualitative studies
  • Top-notch written and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to understand business contexts, scope and design research methodologies, execute on research, analyze findings, and present findings and recommendations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly develop recommendations based on qualitative and quantitative evidence.
  • Exceptional project and organization management skills to coordinate research efforts across multiple projects.
  • Passion, energy and enthusiasm to drive results with a team-oriented approach; must be self-motivated, proactive, and flexible.
  • Experience with research tools such as usertesting.com, dscout, qualtrics, etc.
  • Experience with online collaboration tools like Asana, Google Docs, Google Analytics, SPSS, Excel, and Powerpoint.


Accountabilities

  • Plan and run qualitative and quantitative research studies for our clients. This can include in-person and remote interviews, diary studies, usability tests, secondary research, competitor analysis, surveys, journey mapping, personas and others using Conversion's proprietary methodologies.
  • Process, analyze, and summarize research findings, drawing out the key insights and considering the broader client context when doing so .
  • Create materials for key stakeholders summarizing key findings.
  • Confidently present research and findings.
  • Collaborate with Conversion’s Experimentation Consultants and Designers to identify opportunities to leverage user research insights.
