ComResource is looking for a UX Researcher.
We are looking for a passionate researcher and team player who will be part of a massive digital transformation effort. The UX Researcher will be responsible for uncovering any and all unmet and unstated needs of our users and establishing and maintaining a constant, growing, and evolving customer feedback loop.
The UX Researcher will help uncover and define user needs, analyze data gather through various research methods and analytics and validate whether or not digital transformation efforts are meeting the needs of our users. The UX Researcher will work directly with the entire product team across multiple squads to prioritize and specify features to deliver great new experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Identify the proper research methods needed to best meet the needs of the goals of the problems we are trying to understand
- Conduct or support primary user research studies with business stakeholders and users to gain user insights around met, unmet, stated and unstated needs
- Conduct or support secondary research efforts including analytics, user recordings and feedback, survey results, customer service call logs, internal usage reports, and others
- Validate concepts and prototypes to uncover additional insights and opportunities
- Translate research data gathered into actionable recommendations that help inform future efforts and can deliver recommendations to business partners and leaders in a consumable and delightful manner
- Define user research methods that most effectively inform strategic direction on future and current transformation efforts
- Are familiar with and have used a variety of unmoderated online research tools but are just as comfortable in a moderated setting
- Partner with a digital product team working with UX, UI, product, customer support, technology, and other internal business partners
Essentials:
- Professional with 1-2 years of experience conducting, analyzing, and communicating user research findings and insights
- Understand the right methodologies for uncovering user needs and product opportunities
- Have a background in ethnography and/or cognitive science methods (ideal)
- Deeply passionate about the user and their experiences
- Have an understanding of human-centric design principles
- Can demonstrate having conducted and/or utilized moderated and unmoderated testing methods and tools to gain insights from users
- Enjoy sharing your knowledge with all, as applicable
- Have worked in an agile or iterative work setting and enjoy co-locating with your entire team
- Have worked in virtual teams
- Provide a digital portfolio demonstrating professional research and problem-solving skills
- Love learning new things and challenging yourself
- Don’t mind traveling about 50% of your time to get to know your users
- Have created and presented your work in multiple formats, in particular, slide format (think PowerPoint primarily) to upper management, stakeholders, and other business partners in a consumable and enjoyable manner
- Have a bachelor's or higher degree in HCI, UX research, cognitive science, or other relevant human disciplines.
