Purpose of Position
Reporting to the Director, UX Research + Design, the UX Researcher is an attentive listener, a confident facilitator, and a team player; able to collaborate across teams and stakeholders. This individual is responsible for gathering and communicating insights for discovery and validation; and is able to frame problems and solutions from the user’s point of view.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, product, marketing, visual design, analytics, and technology teams to deliver exceptional digital user experience to our Owners, Passengers, Crewmembers, Agents, and corporate teams
- Participate in live and remote user test planning, facilitation, and moderation, whiteboard sessions, affinity mapping / card sort / workshopping for generative and evaluative purposes
- Communicate research insights and frame actionable recommendations and concepts
- Develop user flows, task analyses, wireframes, wireflows, personas, journey maps, feedback surveys, service maps, et. al. as needed
- Contribute to the repository of research findings and insights for future use and reference
- Advocate for the user in areas of web accessibility and inclusion

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)
- Bachelors’ degree in visual design, computer science, HCI/Human factors, or similar.
- 0-4 years of web design and/or usability experience, with a working knowledge of user interface design, information architecture, and in planning and conducting usability tests, disseminating and presenting research findings and in developing interactive concepts and wireframe prototypes
- Working knowledge of user/web analytics technologies such as Adobe Analytics
- Some experience with information architecture, usability heuristics, and HCI fundamentals
- Solid communication and organization skills
- Familiarity with capabilities and limitations of web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Working knowledge of modern collaboration, annotation, and design tools such as MIRO, Camtasia, Figma, and others
- Demonstrate a portfolio of case studies highlighting UX research discovery and validation
- Basic understanding of agile/scrum processes and best practices
- Comfortable with ambiguity and bringing research insights to life through presentation and storytelling
- Ability to collaborate and learn from anyone in the organization
