UX Research Intern - Summer 2023

Brief Description

FreshDirect is excited to offer a UX Researcher Internship for our Summer 2023 program. The program will offer the student 10 weeks to work on meaningful projects, network with colleagues across the business and partake in activities to build relationships.Responsibilities:

• 'Qualitative Data Analysis: Given that there is a sole UX Researcher at FD, interns will help code qualitative data to speed up this process, and also establish "inter-rater reliability", minimizing the error associated with individual interpretation.
• Data Manipulation: The intern will aid in manipulating raw data-sets and cleaning them to prepare them for coding, and ultimately statistical analyses.
• Rudimentary Statistical Work: The intern will be expected to be able to conduct basic statistical analyses using statistical software (e.g., SAS Viya, R, SPSS) and will learn more advanced techniques and aid with the analysis of data following data manipulation and coding/cleaning of the data.
• Methodological Facilitation: Aid in building experimental framework based on the guidance and mentorship in both quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research.
• General Mentorship: Learning best practices and more advanced UX research methods, statistical analyses, and theory and personality/social psychological theory and literature most relevant to the role of a UX Researcher.

• Enrolled in related degree program.
• Previous experience with data tools & programs.
