Cognito Therapeutics, Inc. is a venture-backed (Morningside Ventures, FoundersX) startup company translating scientific findings from MIT into therapeutic approaches for Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative conditions. We were awarded a Breakthrough designation by the FDA in December 2020 based upon our phase 2 data that showed preservation of both brain function and structure in Alzheimer's patients. Cognito initiated our pivotal study for first-line treatment of Alzheimer’s in Dec 2022 and expects to start additional clinical studies in Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and Parkinson’s Disease in 2023. Roles and Responsibilities
● Leads recruitment for UX research studies, including brick-and-mortar strategies, online, phone
● Assist with IRB submissions
● Assist with research study planning, execution, analysis and reporting, including qualitative and quantitative studies, for example:
○ Hardware concept testing
○ Semi-structured interviews
○ Survey data analysis
○ Behavioral analysis of app data
○ Human factors
Qualifications
● Currently enrolled in/graduated from a Bachelor or Graduate Degree program in Neuroscience, Psychology, Human Factors Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, or related discipline
● Highly detail-oriented, organized working style
● Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn about the medical device, healthcare and Alzheimer’s disease spaces
● Experience with IRB-regulated research
● Interest in learning about user-centered design
