Job Summary:

The UX Product Design team at Charles River Laboratories seeks a User Experience Research Intern to join us. As a UX Research Intern, you will assist in conducting user research to improve the overall user experience of our products. You will work closely with our product designers and product managers to identify user needs, gather feedback, and make data-driven decisions to improve the usability and functionality of our products.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and conducting user research studies, including usability testing, surveys, and interviews.
• Collect and analyze user feedback to identify user needs, pain points, and areas for improvement.
• Help create research reports and presentations communicating findings to stakeholders and team members.
• Collaborate with UX designers and product managers to ensure user feedback is incorporated into the design and development process.
• Help maintain research participant databases and assist with recruiting research participants.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research techniques, tools, and trends in user experience research.

Job Qualifications

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field or looking to transition into a UX Research career.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Familiarity with user research methods, such as usability testing, surveys, and interviews.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with tools such as Dovetail, Qualtrics, Maze, Mural, Figma, or HotJar is a plus.

This is a paid internship position with a duration of 3-6 months. The internship is conducted remotely. The UX Research Intern will report to the UX Research Lead or a designated supervisor. We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds and identities.
