We are seeking a talented and motivated UX Research and Design Intern to join our team. As a UX Research and Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects and gain hands-on experience in user-centered design (UCD), usability testing, and prototyping. You will collaborate with our team to enhance Black Book’s customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user research activities, including interviews, surveys, and usability tests, to gather insights and understand user needs, behaviors, and preferences.
  • Collaborate with product management to propose design changes based on user feedback and emerging trends.
  • Analyze and synthesize research findings to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improving the user experience.
  • Assist in creating user personas, journey maps, and other design artifacts to effectively communicate user insights and inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with the product team to brainstorm, ideate, and create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that address user needs and align with product goals.
  • Conduct usability testing sessions to evaluate the usability and effectiveness of product designs and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in the creation of design specifications, style guides, and design documentation to ensure consistency and quality across all product interfaces.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and marketers, to ensure alignment and seamless integration of user-centered design principles throughout the product development process.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
  • Strong interest and passion for UX research and design, with a solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with research techniques such as user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively articulate design ideas and rationale.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
