We are a small team of designers looking for an individual contributor who can collaborate across product and technology functions in the IR Intelligence Business. We work globally across teams so flexibility in schedule and strong remote communication skills are a must. As a group, we are always looking to improve the experience of our users in a multitude of ways –– large and small. We are prioritizing features that need to be delivered quickly and managing longer term goals including proof-of-concepts. We are looking for a designer who can do the same –– a highly organized self-starter who can work across multiple projects, manage their time well and deliver at a regular cadence.

The Business Unit

  • The IR Intelligence team builds products and services to support Investor Relations professionals at publicly traded companies. With our platform IR Insight and Advisory solutions, we provide software and analytics to issuers globally, with tools to identify shareholders, gauge sentiment, and optimize investor engagement.

Your role and responsibilities

  • Design wireframes & mockups for desktop and mobile platforms
  • Build and quickly iterate interactive prototypes in response to client feedback
  • Construct and moderate contextual user interviews and usability tests
  • Collaborate with product stakeholders, business and technology teams to find practical solutions to design challenges. You’ll iterate on designs to support user success and company goals and be involved in the QA process to ensure implementation meets design standards.
  • Learn concepts in the Investor Relations business in order to best understand our users’ needs.

You will need the following skills and experience

  • 1-2 years of UX experience, ideally on an enterprise B2B application.
  • Mastery of core UX competencies such as interaction design, research and end-to-end human centered design methods, with outputs such as interactive prototypes, personas, journey maps, etc.
  • Proficiency in visual design with adherence to company style guidelines
  • You are well versed in the standard user experience design and collaboration software such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Balsamiq and you know when it’s appropriate to wireframe and when a high-resolution prototype is needed.
  • Excellent communication and soft skills. You are comfortable presenting to, listening to, and collaborating with product managers, engineers, and clients. You have the ability and flexibility to collaborate remotely with global teams using products such as Microsoft Teams, Slack and Zoom to communicate.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS
  • A portfolio of relevant work is required for consideration. It should illustrate your involvement and how you contributed to solving specific problems.

And it would be great if you have:

  • Experience in leading research campaigns
  • Experience in user interface design for B2B products and mobile technologies
  • Experience in financial technology
  • Experience with design sprints and collaborating with developers
  • Experience in data visualization
  • Knowledge of design fundamentals including information design, visual design, industry UI standards for desktop, web-based and mobile applications, and has knowledge of usability best practices.
  • Certifications: Design-related professional certifications are helpful, but not required, such as Certified Usability Analyst, awarded by Human Factors International, or UX Certification, awarded by NN/g.
