UX/Graphic Designer (Part-time)

Overview

JOMO Studio is seeking a talented and creative part-time UX/Graphic Designer to enhance our website's user experience and to design visually appealing marketing materials. This role will be based in our downtown Toronto office and offers a chance to work closely with our Social Media Manager and other team members.

Compensation

Competitive pay based on experience.

Location

This role will be located primarily at the Toronto store location at 21A Bathurst Street, with the possibility of remote work for content creation and analysis tasks.

Reporting

This role reports to the Co-Founder (Dun)

Role Description

As our UX/Graphic Designer, you will be instrumental in shaping the visual and user experience aspects of our digital presence. Your role will involve designing engaging and user-friendly website experiences, crafting landing pages, and creating impactful graphics and illustrations for our marketing campaigns. You will also be conducting competitor analysis and user research to ensure our digital assets are aligned with industry standards and are effectively engaging our target audience.

This role has immense capacity to grow into a full-time position over time.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has a proven track record in both UX design and graphic design.
• Is proficient with design software such as Figma.
• Possesses a strong understanding of UX principles and web design best practices.
• Demonstrates a portfolio of design work that showcases a variety of projects, including web and graphic design.
• Is a strong communicator, capable of collaborating effectively with various team members.
• Has the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Is detail-oriented, creative, and has a strong sense of visual aesthetics.

Areas of Responsibility

• Design and improve the user experience for our website.
• Create compelling graphics and illustrations for digital marketing purposes.
• Perform competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and improve our digital assets.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure brand consistency and effectiveness of design strategies.
• Conduct user research and testing to refine and improve design elements.
