The internship requires 30-40 hours of work per week during the hours of 9am-5pm (this can be flexible).The ideal candidate will have base-level knowledge of Figma and be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in UX/ Interaction Design. Our pay is between $25-$30/hr depending on skill level. Internships provide an opportunity for students to gain practical experience with our UX team and train under professionals with significant experience and expertise in the UX field. The intern will work with a team of 2 to 10 for our company.Responsibilities
- Entry-level experience with Figma
- Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree program in UX, Interaction Design, Web Design or a related field
- Familiar with UX best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Assist in the development of our design system, including creating components that align with our brands and documentation around them
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our design system is consistent across all touchpoints, from our website to our mobile apps
- Assist in research to identify the projects needs, and use that information to inform your design decisions
- Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on designs created by other members of the Design System Team
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, and share your knowledge with the team
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, or a related field
- Passionate about learning design systems and improving the user experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in visual tools: Figma, Sketch, XD/Adobe Creative Suite, and Miro and communication tools like Slack, and Jira
- A portfolio demonstrating your understanding of UX design principles and processes
