The cloud-based Ziosk Platform is an omnichannel suite of products that provide safe, secure, contactless dining experiences, operational efficiency and data insights to grow a restaurant’s top and bottom line. Initially known for the Ziosk Original tableside tablet, the Ziosk Platform now includes Ziosk Virtual, Ziosk Pro Server Tablet, Ziosk Mini and Ziosk Tether, all designed to bring convenience, safety, and operational efficiency to the restaurant. Ziosk is strengthening guest engagement and operational efficiencies across all 50 states.

In 2023, the Ziosk network is poised for rapid growth and we are seeking A+ team members to expand our team in the areas of development, sales and customer service.

Summary

As a UX Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing and shaping user experiences across our range of digital products and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and fellow designers, to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that delight our users.

You will report to the Senior Manager of UX Design and work closely with teams across Ziosk to produce usable, seamless, elegant, and impactful design solutions, deeply rooted in customer needs. The ideal candidate for this position will be at ease managing multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently executing time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define project requirements and goals.
  • Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability tests, to gain valuable insights into user needs and preferences.
  • Create user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to effectively communicate design concepts and workflows.
  • Develop high-fidelity prototypes and interactive mockups to visualize and refine design solutions.
  • Utilize existing design system and add to the system.
  • Produce pixel-perfect and crisp product designs.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs while adhering to technical constraints.
  • Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability testing results.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in UX design, and actively contribute to the growth and improvement of our design processes.


Qualifications

All candidates must send a portfolio or work samples along with their inquiries. Please indicate your specific roles and contributions for each project submitted as part of the portfolio.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., UX design and interaction design, graphic design) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in UX design or related roles, preferably in a fast-paced and agile environment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a solid understanding of user-centered design principles and showcasing your design process from concept to execution.
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Ability to conduct user research activities and effectively translate findings into actionable design solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Passion for user experience, with a desire to continuously learn and improve your skills.
  • Experience in both mobile and web design.
  • A working understanding of HTML and CSS a plus.
