Syllable Corporation has an opening in Sunnyvale, CA) UX Designer: Design HIPAA-compliant healthcare applications, web, and Cloud software. Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative user research, comparative analysis and A/B testing to continuously improve the product for patients and hospital administrators. Conduct usability studies that test User Interface (UI) standard building blocks and pattern concepts of healthcare product domains to improve patient experience in accessing care. Plan and execute user studies (interviews, observations, contextual inquiries) to understand user behavior in collaboration with internal and external team members. Use qualitative analysis methods such as affinity diagram to analyze data from user studies and derive actionable insights. Design A/B testing framework for a given update or new feature. Write reports and present findings from user studies and testings to larger teams. Design user experience for patient-facing and enterprise-facing products (mobile, desktop, and voice). Develop storyboards, mock-ups, and prototypes. Quickly brainstorm and iterate on design ideas. Develop detailed, high-fidelity prototypes of screens and interactions. Design information architecture for products, producing workflow diagrams, user scenarios, flowcharts. Design visually appealing user interface and ensure the quality of visual and UI elements. Create and maintain a design system to ensure the consistency. Create accessibility guidelines for Syllable products; audits. Create detailed handoff specs for designed screens and interactions. Conduct visual QA for ready-to-ship products to ensure the quality of implemented design. Create visual materials that can effectively communicate product highlight and user stories to customers. Utilize Javascript, CSS3, and HTML5, and UX software Figma and Sketch. TELECOMMUTING PERMITTED. Only little domestic travel may be required (2-4 times a year) to attend healthcare industry conferences and to conduct onsite user research such as focus groups, user interviews, and observation studies. Requires a Masters in Health Informatics, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or in any position involving UX Design. 1 year must include experience with: (1) Javascript, CSS3, and HTML5; (2) Using UX design best practices to design solutions, and mobile-first and responsive design; and (3) Conducting user research to improve user experience and in-app features. Requires any knowledge of, or any experience in: (1) UX software Figma and Sketch; (2) Developing interaction concepts and details for new features and components; and (3) Performing heuristic evaluation and usability testing to propose design solutions. $141,378.00 per year.
