HealingHand Tech is a Dublin-based HealthTech startup developing a fully remote end-to-end solution for upper limb rehabilitation with a personalised treatment programme and gameplay. We combine a smart wearable device with a mobile app and remote patient monitoring, adding behaviour change, multiplayer, data analytics, etc. We are passionate about digital transformation and believe a fully gamified patient experience is the future of healthcare.
We are seeking a talented UX Designer Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will work alongside the founders' team to develop and implement innovative design solutions for our digital product. This is an unpaid part-time internship, but we offer a valuable opportunity for you to gain practical experience and work on exciting projects in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
Responsibilities:
- UX Design with a Gamification Focus: Utilize your expertise in gamification to create engaging and motivating user experiences for our digital products, particularly in the realm of telerehabilitation.
- Healthcare Integration: Leverage your background in physical or occupational therapy, or neurorehabilitation to ensure our designs align with healthcare principles and improve patient outcomes.
- User Research: Conduct thorough user research and gather feedback to inform design decisions, enhance user experience, and meet healthcare goals.
- Wireframes and Prototypes: Create wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups using industry-standard tools and software, with a strong emphasis on gamified health solutions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with business requirements and technical constraints.
- Leadership Potential: There is a potential for interns to advance into a team lead position, where you can guide and support fellow interns in achieving their goals.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a design or related degree program.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design skills and experience creating user-centered designs, particularly in gamified health solutions.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Familiarity with game UX design principles and a deep understanding of gamification in healthcare.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- A background in physical or occupational therapy, or neurorehabilitation is highly preferred.
- Passion for digital transformation, healthcare, and creating solutions that enhance people's quality of life.
