Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and creative Remote UX Design Intern to join our team. As a UX design intern, you will play a key role in enhancing the user experience of our breastfeeding app. You will collaborate closely with our small but passionate team to develop intuitive and visually appealing designs that align with our non-profit organization's mission. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the healthcare technology industry while contributing to the global breastfeeding support movement.
Responsibilities:
- Understand user requirements and translate them into intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
- Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to gather insights and improve the app's user experience.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that effectively communicate the desired user experience.
- Iterate and refine designs based on user feedback, usability testing, and data-driven insights.
- Work closely with developers to ensure the implementation of design specifications.
- Maintain consistency in design elements and brand guidelines across various platforms.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX design.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, actively participating in team discussions and sharing creative ideas.
Requirements:
- Current enrollment in a relevant degree or certificate program (UX Design, Interaction Design, or a related field).
- Strong passion for UX design and a keen interest in the healthcare technology industry.
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with usability testing methodologies and tools (preferred but not required).
- Excellent visual and communication skills, with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of breastfeeding support or healthcare industry (preferred but not required).
