User Experience Designer- Summer short term assignment
Position Overview
The User Experience design team supports the global development and advanced technology teams with interaction, visual and industrial design as well as ethnographic research and usability testing. Our designers work collaboratively with stakeholders and customers to research, design and implement competitively differentiated user experience solutions for clinicians and patients.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable working closely with our UX team as well as our cross functional project teams and be able to function within an Agile software development environment. A designer in this role will consult and assist development teams in several or all the following areas: visual design, interaction design, usability testing, user research and information architecture, front end development and design documentation. They must demonstrate a passion for design, strong collaboration skills and a proficiency in concept development and communication skills. We are looking for a creative problem solver who is competent in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard user experience principles and processes to recognize, understand and solve user needs.

Key Responsibilities
Must be able to communicate design intent through storyboards, user-stories, workflows, wireframes and visual designs from low fidelity prototypes through final design assets.
Must be able to balance the needs of different stakeholders within Baxter from hardware and software Engineering to Marketing, Clinical Affairs and Quality.
Provides inputs to usability testing and customer research. May also facilitate sessions.
Collaborative team member with good written and verbal communication skills
Required Background
Enrolled in Industrial/Interaction/New media/UX design program and/or has completed UX certifications from Nielson Normal or Google:
