The name ‘Mangata’ is a Swedish word, referring to the path of light that the moon draws on water. The moon is a powerful, universal symbol and its light represents opportunity for all. Our mission is to build a bridge between connectivity and access, weaving in endless possibilities for businesses and communities to share, learn from each other, and prosper.
Recognized as one of the “Top 5 Telecom Startups to Watch in 2022”, Mangata Networks has a presence in 9 countries (and counting). We are a satellite-enabled network and edge cloud computing services company… and a bit more. We work to enable human exchange on a global level by creating accessible connectivity infrastructure services. Our host of services can adapt to changing needs, securely and in real-time.
Using a proprietary network of satellites, edge micro datacenters, and terrestrial systems, Mangata is connecting people, machines, and devices across the world. We are bringing together a team of remarkable professionals who all resolutely want to pave this path together.
Offering mentorship, experience, and education to the next generation of professionals lies at the very heart of Mangata and is foundational to our values. Interns provide a vital service, bringing innovation and fresh eyes to everything we do. They provide us the opportunity to recruit the best in future team members, with known capabilities and commitment. We, in turn, provide a chance for them to gain valuable work experience, expand their resumes, learn new skills and tools, work on exciting, cutting-edge projects, and network with some of the top minds in the industry.
Mangata’s Operations team is developing complex software components and solutions for the automated remote control of Mangata’s ground systems. This software enables our constellation of satellites to provide highly reliable, worldwide network connectivity to our customers. Within Operations, our NOC and SOC teams are developing the ‘North Star’, a single-pane glass management console. This system will present needed data and enable proactive system monitoring and swift decision-making.
The Ground Systems Engineering Intern will report to the VP of Operations Software Development. You will be responsible for gathering system requirements and building user interface (UI) design prototypes, related to the North Star system. You will assemble persona descriptions, user flow diagrams, and wireframes to help define North Star’s custom UI software development.
