We are a non-profit organization committed to enhancing security within educational environments through innovative software solutions. Our latest security app is designed to create safer school communities by leveraging cutting-edge technology. We are seeking a part-time User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Feedback Specialist for a specific project. This individual will play a crucial role in gathering and analyzing feedback from school staff and students to improve the usability and effectiveness of a new security app.
Duties:
- Develop and implement feedback and testing protocols tailored to the unique needs of k-12 educational environments.
- Engage proactively with a diverse range of schools initially across California and potentially other states, establishing partnerships for conducting feedback sessions.
- Help coordinate and conduct on-site research sessions with school staff and students to gather qualitative and quantitative data on the UX and UI of our security app.
- Compile, analyze, and synthesize data collected from feedback sessions, identifying key insights and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with the development team to communicate findings and suggest evidence-based enhancements for the app's UX and UI.
- Produce comprehensive reports detailing research methodologies, findings, and actionable recommendations for enhancing the app's user experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Data Science, Statistics, Psychology, Sociology, or a relevant discipline.
- Proven experience in UX/UI research, particularly in educational or security contexts (preferred but not required).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals and groups.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in both qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
- Ability to travel to schools within California and potentially other states as required.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Background in education, psychology, or a related field is a plus.
- Familiarity with data analysis software
