The Corporate User Experience organization at JPMorgan Chase (JPMC) is seeking soon-to-be graduates (Master’s and PhD candidates preferred), who are looking to enter the field of User Experience (UX) Research.

Our UX Research internship is a 12-week, full-time program centered around supporting the UX, product design and experience operations within an internal-facing organization. The internship will take place in Summer 2023.

As a UX Research intern at JPMC, you will have hand-on experience designing real-world projects, deepening your knowledge, and practicing new skills in partnership with dedicated mentors who will guide you through the entire journey of your internship. You will communicate with a network of supportive colleagues from cross-functional UX teams (e.g., UX Design, UX Research, Service Design, Operations) to understand the firm, client needs and the scope of our work. Interns will be mentored by UX practitioners to research user needs, create visual solutions and implement design thinking practices.

What You’ll Bring:

To be considered for this internship position, you must meet the qualifications below.

  • Currently working towards a Master's or PhD degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Informatics, Psychology, Design, Social Science or other equivalent discipline, with an expected conferral date in Spring/Summer 2024.
  • Ability to commit to a 12 week full-time (40hrs / week) internship on a hybrid work schedule (2x/week in the office)
  • Expertise in qualitative research methods and frameworks, such as in-depth interviews, focus groups, journey mapping, card sorting, or usability studies. Quantitative expertise in survey and statistical analysis a bonus.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
  • A drive and capacity to advocate on behalf of our users.
  • Ability and interest to work in a highly dynamic and collaborative environment
  • Ability to work in the United States
