Overview: The User Experience Product Designer I is a passionate, collaborative UX professional working with project teams by providing user-driven design solutions, creating wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and producing high fidelity visual designs. They align a project with success by providing best-in-class design solutions.You will be involved in every step of design, including research, ideation, mapping user flows, prototyping, creating mockups, and designing high-fidelity UIs. At Paychex, User Experience Product Designer work with guidance from senior team members, prepare digital assets for one or more assigned agile teams, and take on side projects to learn new design skills and grow their expertise. This is an opportunity to learn and grow, gain experience, and build confidence as a UX professional. Responsibilities:

  • Participates in gathering insights from user research, usability testing, UX benchmark examples, and applies user-centered design principles to identify design needs, craft design solutions, and deliver high-quality design.
  • Collaborates with business teams and the Product Owner to understand business and technical requirements.
  • Participates in design reviews and action planning to ensure compliance to design approach and language standards.
  • Work closely with one or more agile teams to produce detailed design assets and ensure accurate implementation
  • Learn our design system and becoming familiar with our strategy and standards.
  • Sketch, wireframe, and create mockups and prototypes for web, mobile, smart watch, and smart speakers using modern design tools (e.g. Sketch, InVision, Zeplin)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in interaction, graphics, visual communications, product, HCI, CS, or related concentration - Required
  • 1 year of experience in Design experience and working knowledge of UX methodologies backed by a strong portfolio highlighting your process and problem-solving abilities.
  • Possesses strong technical aptitude.

Compensation: In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $72,000.00 - $113,100.00 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
