Location: Gaithersburg, MD
We are currently seeking sophomore and junior students working towards a degree in Graphic design, User experience, User design, communications, computer science, human-computer interaction, web development, or digital arts for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2024.
Objectives/Goals of the Position:
- Synthesize diverse business documents, resources, and medically-relevant information into impactful visual assets (including, but not limited to: infographics, web pages, elearning courses)
- Lead and facilitate business governance meetings to ensure consistent business processes across digital workstreams
- Understand the relevance and importance of visual and digital media in a highly matrixed corporate environment, and apply effectively through organizational skills & visual storytelling
Primary Duties:
- Evaluate current department Hub (SharePoint backbone) for user experience and identity opportunities for improvement
- Plan and execute re-design of dept. Hub page(s) as needed to improve user experience and incorporate user design principles
- Develop and create visual assets that synthesize multiple business critical concepts to deploy, as appropriate, on the Hub (e.g. Vision & ambition statements, people strategy, omnichannel engagement)
- Liaise with US Medical Affairs admins, project managers and US Business Excellence to maintain (and improve user experience) for integrated business calendar
- Create hierarchical scheme for business folders on Hub and maintain strategic documents
- Lead and Facilitate Medical Hub Governance meetings to ensure all appropriate business processes are consistent
- Ad hoc support to Medical Excellence team for visual asset development/enhancement
