Position Profile
Our Interns will apply their education to meaningful projects in a team environment alongside a technical mentor. You will be exposed to many levels of management within our company concluding with an end of summer presentation to the executive team. Throughout the summer you will have the opportunity to acquire technical and professional skills, to participate in team building activities, and to enjoy social events in the Rocky Mountain region.
As a Ricoh intern you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience as part of a dynamic and professional team focused on innovative solutions to real-world problems. Our team of innovative, customer-obsessed collaborators aspire to deliver services and technologies that empower our customers' success – and student involvement helps drive our innovations forward. Interns partner with passionate team members and mentors to design contemporary and user-friendly software solutions that solve customer problems. You will also have the opportunity to work with many levels of management within our company, concluding with an end of summer presentation to the executive team.
User Experience Designer / User Interface (UX/UI) Internship position within the Colorado Design Center (CoDC) in Boulder, Colorado. The UX/UI Designer will be an integral member of the Design team, which supports multiple Ricoh software and hardware products in various stages of design and development. The successful candidate must be a confident UX/UI Designer who has a passion for user research, elegant interface design and can effectively communicate difficult design concepts. Interpersonal skills should include teaming, self-management, multitasking, as well as, a positive, cooperative, and dedicated attitude.
Example Summer Project:
Design a cloud based platform and associated applications for high-end product print service providers. The applications include solutions like workflow automation, document editing and collaboration, eCommerce support and other cloud native offerings. As the UX member of a Scrum (Agile) team of interns, you will be responsible for the persona development, user research, competitive evaluation, solution concept development, iterative creation of designs and feedback on those designs. The project will take the services from start, all the way to production and the hope that by the end of the summer be running with real customers. The project may also include opportunities for Patents.
