AS A USER EXPERIENCE DESIGNER, YOU WILL:

  • Collaborate with agile development teams and other stakeholders to deliver products and features that deliver value to both our customers and our business
  • Participate in design workshops to ideate on solutions that will create intuitive user experiences and eliminate customer difficulties
  • Work with agile development teams to create product designs including creating personas, user flows, storyboards, wireframes, mockups, and other design artifacts as needed
  • Follow the Emerson design standards to provide design consistency across our product portfolio and help maintain those design standards as needed
  • Actively seek feedback from end users about product designs and use that feedback to improve the designs


WHO YOU ARE:
You partner with others to get work done. You adjust communication to fit the audience and the message. You deal comfortably with the uncertainty of change. You readily learn and adopt new technologies.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field


PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • A design portfolio demonstrating command of a holistic design process and the ability to create design artifacts because of that process
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
