Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead, will be responsible for designing interactive UI systems (desktop, web and mobile) that optimize usability, quality, and performance; collecting and documenting user requirements; facilitating user interface design, advocating for the user throughout the development process, and testing and evaluating user interfaces; working with development teams to follow a user-centered design approach; recommending usability methods to answer questions about users and designing directions based on projects’ needs, goals and constraints; advocating for MathWorks end users; collaborating on low, medium and high fidelity prototypes; conducting user research, identifying pain points, and developing user profiles to impact strategy and product direction; running usability tests and performing other usability assessments as appropriate; helping the teams interpret and understand user feedback, and providing input for designing decisions based on that feedback; and contributing to requirements and user interface design.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Human Factors, Human Factors in Information Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interactive Design, Engineering, Computer Science or a closely-related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no experience.
