Position: UX Design Consultant

Location: Toronto-based firm

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000 – $125,000

What will your typical day look like?

Every day will be unique, but you can expect to be a:

  • Content creator: Create client-centric deliverables with RoD Group teams while holding a broad level of understanding of our client(s). These deliverables are related to experience design and design research to help our clients delight their customers and employees. Create and deliver materials including PowerPoint presentations, reports, and client meetings.
  • UX/CX research and design: Your fluency in experience design techniques and methods helps lead our clients to design delight for all customers and employees.
  • Project manager: Client engagements are a series of deliverable milestone. You guide and advise our clients through the project steps – listening and adjusting along the way.
  • Relationship connector: Knowledge of client management, relationship building and developing trust leading to increased opportunities for/with new and existing clients. Grounded in, and willing to learn, the process of consultative sales.
  • Quality focus: Protect The Return on Disability Group brand by meeting or exceeding quality and risk management standards.
  • Delighting our client(s): develop a network within The Return on Disability Group team and build a delightful experience for clients over the lifetime of the relationship.
  • Deliver differentiated client experiences: manage initiatives to enable risk sharing and shared learning opportunities for our global clients across industries (events, publications, workshops/labs)

You are someone with:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent design-focused diploma(s) and 2 to 3+ years of professional services experience as a consultant with a focus in design thinking, customer journey mapping, and systems mapping.
  • Project management experience and facilitation skills serving large private/public sector clients.
  • Proven experience in creating and developing high quality decks and other materials that deliver world-class insights to clients – with a flair for explaining complexity in simple/robust terms.
  • Success in playing a role within an account team framework and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in favour of client relationships – you delight clients.
  • Fluency in French is an asset.
  • Lived experience with disability is an asset.
