Position Summary:

User Experience (UX) Analyst Intern support the overall product vision and help make product design decisions. This position is a member of the Product Management Team and works closely with other UX Analysts.

On a daily basis, they create documentation and prototypes which serve as the vehicle for testing users, the blue print for developers, and as a testing model for Quality Assurance.

They are detail oriented and work hard to ensure continuity of their designs and user experiences across assigned products and form factors, while following established standards.

They participate in the process of discovery, design, testing, and iteration to ensure every product meets user goals, has an excellent experience, and is highly intuitive.

They support on-site customer visits, interviews, user tests, task analysis, customer research, and in-product feedback. They utilize this understanding to ensure designs are user-centered.

The UX Analyst Intern is a position on the UI/UX team and reports to the Product Design Manager while following the lead of other UX Analysts.

Position Responsibilities- Other duties may be assigned:

· Serve as member of the UI/UX team and contribute to its ongoing success while supporting the overall vision of the end-to-end user experience.

· Continually act as an end-user advocate; review and categorize in-product feedback, participate in efforts to drive user needs and goals into both creative and pragmatic design solutions.

· Perform user task analysis and document findings for online and offline user tasks. Utilize findings to define the optimal user workflow and create related design documentation.

· Contribute to the creation of documentation necessary to convey the end-to-end user experience. including, but is not limited to user journeys, diagrams, low and high-fidelity wire frames/wire flows, specifications, interactive prototypes, as well as other testable media.

· Assist in the creation of user testing plans and scripts that will test viability and usability of proposed product designs throughout product lifecycle.

· Assists in conducting and observing ongoing customer and product research projects, including interviews and on-site visits.

· Assists in performing analysis of user testing results and provide written recommendations for the continual iteration and improvement of usability and enhancements to product design and workflows.

· Follow design standards for visual language and patterns of interaction. Ensure continuity across project work while adhering to specification, branding, and file management standards

· Contribute in creating product-related graphics and Illustrations such as icons and other visual elements necessary to delivering products that adhere to established standards for professionalism, aesthetics, and quality.

· Seek out and follow the guidance of other UX Analysts as subject matter experts.

· Regularly attend Agile ceremonies and serve as the product design professional on SCRUM teams as assigned. Complete work within defined sprint cycles. Utilize online resources, such as JIRA and Confluence to track and report the status for assigned work. Contribute to sprint demos and demonstrate work completed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· This position does not have any direct reports.

Position Requirements:

  • Currently attending college , completed a bachelor's degree (BA, BS), or attained certifications in: Graphic Design, User Experience, User Testing, Human Computer interaction, Behavioral Science, and/or Computer Science
  • Possesses a Portfolio or classwork that demonstrates their experience in the following areas: Defining User Goals, Creating User Journeys, Creating Wireframes / Wire flows, Information Architecture, Interaction Design, Multi-form factor design (Desktop Browser, Tablet, Phone)
  • Strong analytical thinking, documentation, communication, time management, and multi-tasking skills

Preferred Requirements:

  • Certifications in UX, UXD, iXD, HCI, or Visual Design
  • Experience working in Agile Frameworks
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Specifically Adobe Illustrator, XD, Figma, Axure, Sketch, or other wireframing and prototyping software

Job Type: Internship

Pay: $20.00 - $27.25 per hour

Experience level:

  • Under 1 year

  • Monday to Friday

  • Elk Grove, CA 95757: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • UI: 1 year (Preferred)
  • UX: 1 year (Preferred)
