Usability Analyst

Overview: As a Usability Analyst, you will ensure compliance of user centered design activities according to regulations (e.g., IEC, FDA Guidance) on a system and product level and providing required documentation.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist projects on a process level (SOP) to fulfil the regulatory required tasks regarding usability
  • Plan, conduct and document regulatory required usability activities (e.g., summative usability evaluation)
  • Examine existing software products and identify usability issues
  • Plan and execute qualitative user research studies such as contextual inquiries, user interviews, focus groups or stakeholder workshops
  • Perform usability risk assessment
  • Responsible for seamless integration of UCD (User Centered Design) process output into technical documentation (e.g., review of specifications, alignment with user interaction standards)
  • Analyze and report outcome of studies and present results to upper management

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelors or masters in a UX-related subject (computer science, information systems, graphic design, UI design)
  • Some experience working as a usability analyst, user experience researcher, user experience designer, interaction designer (or similar role)
  • Experience with medical companies or companies in similar fields
  • User centred design know-how (hardware or software)
  • Know-how in usability evaluations for software and hardware solutions
  • experience using Microsoft Office, Usability testing and prototyping tools (e.g., Morae, Axure)
