UI/UX Internship

Precision Planting, a leading provider of precision agriculture technology, is seeking interns to help develop our growing suite of on-equipment control, cloud, and mobile products. At Precision Planting, we focus on helping farmers across the world be more efficient - growing yields, reducing inputs, and saving time.

Interns at Precision Planting play an active role in product development and help solve real-world problems. You will spend time designing UI to build out new product capability and have the opportunity to see your work used by customers.

We are located in Tremont, IL, which is about 20 minutes from downtown Peoria, IL (also about 2.5 hours downstate from Chicago). Our engineering team consists of over 50 software, electrical, and mechanical engineers, all housed in a new facility that is literally in the middle of a corn field.

What will I be doing?

• 
  Design a unified user experience across a software platform
• Climbing on agricultural equipment to validate and experience the software first-hand
• Solve unique user experience problems

What must I have?

• 
  Currently enrolled as a sophomore or higher in a BS design program, computer science or equivalent
• Experience in branding and UX theory and practice
• Experience using Figma, Sketch, or similar software
• Strong communication skills and willingness to be a flexible team player
• Currently authorized to work in the United States
• Personal transportation
• Willingness to relocate to the Peoria, IL area

What other specific skills & experience would be good for me to have?

• 
  Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0/4.0
• Experience developing high fidelity prototypes for app, web or similar applications
