Job Title: UI/UX Designer

Location: Burnaby, Canada

We're looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our team in Burnaby and help us continue to push the boundaries of what is possible.

Your Role:

As a UI/UX Designer at Altea Healthcare, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting intuitive, captivating, and efficient user interfaces across various platforms. Working closely with our product management and engineering teams, you'll ensure that our digital solutions are visually compelling and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
  • Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features.
  • Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  • Ask smart questions, take risks, and champion new ideas.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of UI/UX design experience, with a preference for candidates experienced in healthcare technology.
  • Proficiency in standard UI/UX software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, and UXPin is essential. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
  • Ability to grasp detailed requirements and craft comprehensive user experiences aligned with the project's goals and vision.
  • Extensive expertise in applying UX design best practices, including mobile-first and responsive design principles.
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns.
  • Strong communication skills to convey design processes, concepts, and solutions effectively to team members.
  • Firm grasp of user-centered design principles and design thinking methodologies.
  • Efficient iteration of designs and solutions, driven by a passion for addressing user pain points through exceptional design.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team, translating abstract ideas into actionable design strategies.
