We are seeking a talented and passionate UX designer to join our team. As a designer at Fortuna Insights, you will play a crucial role in shaping the overall user experience of our digital products—all aimed at providing affordable, efficient legal research. You will conduct research to understand user needs and design intuitive interfaces that enhance usability and engagement for US and international markets. This is an exciting opportunity to join an early stage startup and have a true impact on helping us grow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user research and gather insights to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points.
  • Translate research findings into actionable design solutions, including user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
  • Define product requirements and user stories for multiple personas
  • Design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that prioritize usability and accessibility.
  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability testing, and data analysis to continually improve the user experience.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX/UI design.
  • Advocate for the user throughout the design process and ensure that design decisions are driven by user needs and business goals.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure successful implementation of design solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams.
  • Experience or interest in working with an early stage startup team and ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or related field.
