Our first product is the R30, a 30ft all-electric power boat with a fully-integrated cabin, a 221 kWh battery and solar charging capability. What we're looking for:
We're looking for a talented UI/UX Designer to join our crew and help us craft a user experience that's as exhilarating as our boat, both on our boat's infotainment system and website. You will be on the software team creating designs and participating in stakeholder meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Develop wireframes, prototypes, and design concepts that align with our brand and business objectives
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on designs
- Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI pattern libraries
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure the design is implemented correctly and the user experience is optimized
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure our product remains competitive
Qualifications:
- Degree in Graphic/Interactive/Web Design (or equivalent work experience)
- At least 1+ years of professional experience in UI/UX design
- Strong portfolio that showcases your design skills, problem-solving abilities, and user-centered design process
- Proficient in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools such as InVision or Principle
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Passion for sustainability and a willingness to learn about electric boats and marine industry trends
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, HCI, Psychology, or related field
- Experience designing for embedded systems, specifically vehicle related screens
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
