We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented UX/UI Designer who shares a passion for design and technology. You'll work with the UX/UI and Product teams to produce software requirements, wireframes, prototypes and translate those into elegant designs or make updates to existing files while following our style guide for web, mobile, and other software applications.
As a UI/UX Designer, you will:
- Have a strong grasp in visual design with fundamentals of UX and interaction design
- Define user flows, wireframes, prototypes and maintain UI specs and design systems
- Create solutions for interface and interaction design challenges, and translate those into pixel perfect designs
- Help with product/user research and user testing with awareness for accessibility (ADA)
- Collaborate with Team Members and Stakeholders on designs to gather requirements and evolve existing ones
- Take direction well and iterate based on feedback, data, and technical constraints
- Create great work in a fast-paced and growing business
The ideal candidate has 1-3 years in a visual design or UX/UI role. Must be proficient with standard UX/UI software including Figma. A basic understanding of HTML and CSS are a plus - to create web and mobile web friendly specs and designs. This role reports to the CCO.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in interaction design, graphic design, human factors or related
- A strong online portfolio
- BA or equivalent experience (Recent college grads may apply with a strong portfolio and internship experience)
- Excellent design process, organization and visual design skills
- Proficiency with Figma or other wireframing tool
- Awareness/usage of best practices for file prep and handoff to developers
- Proficiency/familiarity with Microsoft Office Tools
- Knowledge of Agile and Jira would be a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to take creative feedback and execute updates quickly
- A team player with a desire to learn and grow as a designer
