Who we are: Spatial Informatics Group (SIG) is part think-tank, part software incubator. We work with partners in government, philanthropy and the private sector to apply science and geospatial data to help solve earth’s climate-related problems. SIG was formed in 1998 as a collaboration between several university professors, and we still retain our academic roots. We are looking for: a UI/UX Designer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of high-impact, science-sharing web applications.
As a UI/UX Designer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces that enhance the overall user experience. Your primary focus will be on understanding user needs, conducting research, designing wireframes and prototypes, and delivering high-quality visual designs. The ideal candidate is passionate about user-centered design principles, stays up-to-date with industry trends, and possesses strong problem-solving skills.
The successful candidate will have the expertise and experience to build decision support tools for our clients across the Americas, Africa, and Southeast Asia. SIG is a digitally native organization with personnel distributed across three continents. Therefore, the position is for remote work only, preferably based in US compatible timezones.

Salary range: $80,000-90,000
