Duration: May 13 to September 27

Hours: 8-12 hours per week

Location: Remote

Job Description:

We are seeking a creative and experienced UI/UX Designer to join our early-stage startup as a part-time contractor. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio of successful UI and UX projects and be capable of delivering intuitive and user-centered design solutions for both our marketing website and main product.

Responsibilities:

  • Design the UI for features and create comprehensive UI/UX designs for larger features or new pages, ensuring seamless integration with overall product functionality.
  • Utilize tools such as Figma (or a preferred alternative) to develop detailed, responsive design prototypes and wireframes.
  • Collaborate with the development team, documenting and communicating visual and functional elements, ensuring designs are executed accurately.
  • Provide expert consultation on user experience, suggesting the best practices and solutions for enhancing user satisfaction and engagement.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, receiving high-level guidance from leadership to prioritize and execute design tasks.
  • Document design requirements clearly and thoroughly to assist developers in implementation.
  • Regularly update the team on project status, addressing any issues that may affect deadlines or outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio of design projects.
  • Proficient in using wireframing and design software (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles and the ability to implement them effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail, aesthetics, and graphic design skills.
  • Good understanding of user-experience modeling and interaction design.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying ideas and designs effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment and manage time efficiently.
  • Knowledge of current UI/UX best practices and design trends.

This role is perfect for a dynamic and innovative designer who wants to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Your designs will directly contribute to user engagement and satisfaction, playing a crucial role in the success of our product and brand.
