Job Overview:
We’re looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our Product Management team. As a UX/UI designer, you must have a strong understanding of visual design, interaction design, formative research, and information architecture in order to meet project goals.
This position requires a customer-centric mindset, excellent communication skills, strong design skills (mobile and web), and proficient comprehension of computer technology and design software for daily work tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Independently creates user journeys, wireframes, information architecture, user flows, mockups and prototypes to communicate designs; and iterate on designs based on feedback from product manager and stakeholders.
- Generates iterations of the user interface design to be evaluated by cross-functional teams.
- Illustrates design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
- Designs user experiences though the creation of interaction flows, design patterns and medium to high fidelity prototypes.
- Develops UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how app/site function and look like.
- Collaborates with engineers to ensure designs are feasible and implemented properly.
- Produces and maintains pixel perfect graphics, graphical components and graphics asset libraries.
- Prepares and presents rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
- Identifies and troubleshoots UX problems.
- Adheres to GIA style guide on fonts, colors and images.
- Other duties as assigned.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
- A deep understanding of UX/UI best practices and a passion for learning new things.
- Pitching designs in a clear, detailed manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Balancing, prioritizing, and organizing tasks to meet deadlines.

- Experience designing user-friendly websites, desktop applications, and mobile apps.
- Deep knowledge of digital design techniques and tools, including typography, layouts, and responsive design.
- Strong track record for bringing exceptionally well-designed mobile/web-based products to market.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or related creative field, and 1-2+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.
- Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business related machines and software.
Pay Range: $78-132k
