UI Designer Intern

OuterBox is seeking a talented UI Designer Intern that will assist the UI Design team with creative tasks related to UX, CRO, SEO, PPC, and Web Project Design, across our portfolio of over 500 clients in our Rochester, MN office. This person should be energetic, creative, self-starting, eager to learn, and local to the Rochester, MN area. What You Get To Do Every Day:

• Create Visual Concepts: Craft visually compelling designs for multiple channels that align with branding guidelines and UX best practices, utilizing advanced design software like Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, or equivalent.
• Design Collaboration and Alignment: Collaborate with UX researchers, strategists, and developers to interpret project requirements and integrate user-centered design principles into every aspect of the user interface.
• SEO Design: Assist with SEO specific design efforts related to content expansion, image optimization, and more.
• Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on designs at various stages of development to ensure consistency with initial design and functionality requirements.
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring To The Role:

• Local to the Rochester, MN area (In office role)
• Preferred 1-2 years experience with UI Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent classwork
• Basic written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including the ability to create clear and compelling diagrams and concepts.
• Basic Sketch Skills or equivalent software experience (Adobe XD or Figma)
• Basic Understanding of Image Optimization Techniques and Best Practices
• Basic understanding of UX Best Practices for Web
• Basic understanding of Best Practices for Email Design
• Basic understanding of the latest Accessibility Guidelines
• Ability to create simple Iconography
• Ability to follow creative brief and complete work within a given timeline and estimate
