UI Designer

Join our innovative interactive team in Esri's Creative Lab to design for esri.com. You'll be designing sites within established visual systems, doing image and graphic production work, and working with senior designers to rollout web experiences with global exposure.  

Our ideal candidate is a skilled problem solver and communicator who is passionate about design and driven to influence their growth and development. An understanding of user-centered design processes, systems thinking, and interaction design principles is crucial to helping our team extend the reach and utilization of Esri's location-based technology.

Responsibilities

• Synthesize project briefs, wireframes, and internal feedback to design web solutions that meet project objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members such as UX architects, writers, developers, and stakeholders to develop designs across a portfolio of Esri landing pages, events, industries, products, and marketing campaigns
• Ensure visual consistency by integrating established style systems and brand standards into your design efforts
• Stay up to date with new web design trends and technologies

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in visual design for the web
• Exceptional online portfolio showcasing visual design and design thinking for web
• Proven ability to solve conceptual and functional problems in collaboration with design peers
• Strong skills with design software, including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Outstanding communication skills
• Ability to make complex ideas understandable, a passion for your work, and strong presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team, listen effectively, and respect others while offering and receiving constructive feedback
• Organized and able to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, ever evolving environment
• Bachelor’s in graphic design or a related design discipline
